Disney Crew Members Clean Beaches in Celebration of Earth Month

Picture what’s possible when we all work together to keep our oceans beautiful. Across several beaches located near our port communities, Disney Cruise Line crew members collected more than 400 pounds of trash and debris in April. And with a little magic along the way, they worked together this Earth Month to learn more about conserving our planet.

“It was humbling to have the chance to give back to the beautiful shore lines the Disney Fantasy calls home,” said Justin Low, entertainment host on the Disney Fantasy. “Our Earth Month Beach Cleanup served as a great reminder to the important role we play in conserving our planet for generations to come.”

More than 50 crew members from across our fleet VoluntEARed at the four beach cleanups. But for our crew members, the impact goes beyond the amount of trash collected.

“It’s so fulfilling to be able to help. It could be as simple as opening a door for someone, or as great as helping clean a beach,” said Raf Zablan, crew engagement manager on the Disney Dream. “A simple act of kindness can go a mile and it gives joy and happiness to others. Helping others is truly contagious.”

Disney Cruise Line is committed to protecting the planet through numerous programs designed to reduce emissions and waste, conserve resources, build sustainability, protect marine life and so much more. Visit DisneyPlanetPossible.com to learn more.
