As many of you know, our newest thrill ride at Walt Disney World, TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise, is officially open! And to celebrate this exciting milestone, we’re releasing an exclusive series of “TRON” digital wallpapers. Especially for Disney Parks Blog readers.

At TRON Lightcycle / Run, you’re transported to the Grid for a special Lightcycle race. Where it’s your Team Blue against one of the Grid’s menacing Programs – Team Red, Team Yellow, or Team Orange. Our first two digital wallpapers perfectly capture the exhilarating action and the attraction’s vibrant colors.

Today’s series of new wallpapers include digital artwork. Inspired by the circular identity disc that every Program on the Grid receives. As Disney Parks Blog author and lifelong “TRON” fan Steven Miller shared, the identity disc allows Programs to synchronize with Lightcycles. And can be used as a weapon capable of “derezzing” (short for “deresolution” or simply “deleting”) other Programs.

During visits to this new thrill attraction, you’ll also notice hexagons. Which is the geometric shape most associated with Flynn’s Grid. One of our just-released wallpapers features the familiar hexagon designs you can spot on TRON Lightcycle / Run.
