Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has it all!
Breathtaking views, fabulous dining, recreational activities, and you can even attend a university! Okay, it’s a Sangria University, but we feel confident that you won’t be skipping class here.
Located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort Area, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort offers guests a number of different options when it comes to accommodations. There are the Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas buildings which can sleep up to four adults. These buildings are spread out throughout the property and may feature views of the courtyard, pool, or the shimmering Lago Dorado Lake.
Also located at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is the spectacular Gran Destino Tower. As guests walk through the lobby doors they are surrounded by beautiful Spanish-themed décor. From the mesmerizing hanging lanterns to the rear wall adorned with decorative bronze screens. The lobby itself could be where one might choose to vacation all week long. The Tower is also home to more than 500 guest rooms, including 50 suites and club-level services.
We mentioned spectacular views and they can be found throughout this resort.
Let’s start at the top … the very top. Rooftop dining at Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood is a must when staying at this resort. Located in the Gran Destino Tower. Guests can enjoy delectable small plates or hearty dishes, as well as Spanish wines and handcrafted cocktails. Speaking of views and cocktails, let’s move to the middle of Lago Dorado where we will find Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago. A place for all to gather to enjoy delectable dining, tasty cocktails, and great conversation with your travel party. This is also where guests can participate in Sangria University.
At Sangria University, the history lesson is focused on all things sangria. Recipes are shared from the Three Bridges Bar & Grill for their delectable sangria. And guests will enjoy light appetizers along with their sangria tastings. Available on Saturdays and Sundays, Sangria University also allows guests to create their own sangria! Guests must be 21 years of age to participate, and the experience is 90 minutes long. Advanced reservations are required.
So much to do and we haven’t even gotten to the pools yet. Grab your sunglasses and your sunscreen and head to one of the four pools found at this resort. Looking for a restful place to enjoy the water and sun? Then you will want a chair at one of the three leisure pools located in Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas. However, if you are ready for an adventure head to the Lost City of Cibola Pool. Family-friendly activities, a 50-foot pyramid, and a 123-foot-long waterslide make this a must-do pool.
Adventure is out there, and it can be found at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort!
