Behind the Nametag: Finding Home with the Cutting Edge Technology of Disney
Originally published at Disney Parks News
Originally from China, technology manager Margaret Gong has lived all over the world. After graduating college in China, she moved to the United Kingdom and worked in the technology field. Eventually, she found a home with Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Technology and Digital in Seattle. She’s been a cast member for over ten years!
“Disney impacted my life in many aspects. Not just in work but in life,” Margaret said.
Cast members have access to scholarship programs for furthering their education. In addition to programs their children can apply for, so when Margaret’s daughter was accepted to MIT, she was thrilled to benefit from financial aid from Disney.
In addition to Margaret’s work in technology contributing to magical guest experiences when guests visit our parks, she’s inspired the next generation in her family to pursue a career in STEM.
