Disney Launches 10th Annual Magic of Storytelling Campaign in Collaboration with First Book

Calling all book lovers, storytellers, and magic makers!
This week Disney kicked off its 10th Annual Magic of Storytelling campaign with First Book. A nonprofit organization that puts free or affordable books and resources into the hands of educators who serve children in need.
With excitement for the next generation of diverse creators, thinkers, and leaders, Disney is working to ensure that all young people have an opportunity to believe in possibilities. Build new skills, and create the future they imagine. Spanning February through March, the Magic of Storytelling campaign will come to life. Through the dynamic voices of storytellers and talent from some of Disney’s most beloved books, series, and movies. Watch storytimes by fan-favorite Disney actors, or learn storytelling tips from beloved Disney creators. Listen to author Julie C. Dao sharing her top three things that make a good story, (“Broken Wish”). Jennifer Calonita (“Go the Distance: A Twisted Tale”) on the importance of always having a notebook handy.
First Book is focused on creating systemic change and identifying and breaking down barriers in education.
To ensure educational equity for millions of children living in poverty across the U.S. For more than two decades, Disney Publishing Worldwide has donated millions of books to First Book. It continues to support its efforts through shopDisney’s “Buy a Book, Give a Book” campaign. For every book purchased on shopDisney.com now through Dec. 31, 2022, Disney will donate a book to First Book. Buy a Book, Give a Book helps inspire reading and a love of storytelling while encouraging sharing with others. shopDisney guests may discover a wide variety of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic books on the site.
