Disneyland Paris Cast Members Go Behind the Curtain of Disney Enchanted Christmas
Originally published at Disney Parks News
It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Disneyland Paris with “Disney Enchanted Christmas“! Between the decorations, the carols, and the snow, everything is as merry and jolly as can be…. But how does such a celebration come to life every day? That’s the question we sought to answer when we took some of our cast members on two exclusive Discovering Magic Tours.
A long-time initiative of the Ambassador program, these visits take small groups of cast members behind the curtain of our destination. Through places very few people go, and in the company of expert magic-makers.
For our very first tour, we headed towards the entertainment teams of “Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade”!
Ever since its grand debut last year, the parade has been the talk of the town. With its luminescent costumes, its shining floats – each one with its very own Christmas tree – and its enchanting music. It’s really all you could want for Christmas!
So, naturally, we took our cast members out to meet with the costume designers in their workshops. The set designer in our floats’ hangar, our decorators in their warehouse, and the parade show director.
Sketches and prototypes in hand, they got to share the creative process they went through. The innovations they designed for this parade, and some trade secrets help shine a light in our guests’ hearts.
To top it off, we gave our cast members the opportunity to watch the parade. From the privatized floor of our Main Street Disneyland Railroad station. A little anticipated Christmas gift to thank them for their curiosity.
But “Disney Enchanted Christmas” isn’t just dazzling – it’s fulfilling too! Could you imagine the holidays without treats? So, for our second Discovering Magic Tour, we took cast members through the kitchens of the resort to cook ourselves some sweet surprises.
Our bakers and chefs taught our lucky cast how they bake fresh goods every day for guests. Shared the festive recipes they use, and even let them have a go at assembling Red Nose Macarons before tasting them!
To accompany these delicious pastries, we then headed towards the Skyline Bar of Disney Hotel New York – the Art of Marvel for a little mixology session
Wherein they learned all about the festive drinks that can be enjoyed in the parks, Disney Village, and Disney Hotels.
They were even given some special insights and tricks to create surprising mocktails. That will make them the best hosts during this holiday season.
It was an absolute pleasure to take our cast on these Discovering Magic Tours and meet up with the people behind our Holiday season surprises.
The amount of talent, passion, and commitment that goes into creating these memorable experiences is absolutely astonishing, and we were proud to see stars in the eyes of our cast members during these two exclusive visits.
If you want to see more of these tours, don’t hesitate to follow our Disneyland Paris Ambassador channel on Instagram! And stay tuned, as more magic will be discovered next year. In the meantime: Happy Holidays everyone!
