To create an extraordinary welcome on such a momentous occasion were campus personnel, cast members, and special guests!
The long-awaited opening of Avengers Campus, in correlation with the 30th Anniversary celebrations, has action-packed adventures. With surprise live-action stunts, heroic encounters with Marvel Super Heroes, and two epic attractions. On top of these offerings, recruits can refuel like a Super Hero. With all-new dining experiences and look the part with their heroic merchandise.
To help welcome the very first recruits, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, and President and Managing Director Disney Parks International Jill Estorino, joined the cast members. Alongside the Disneyland Paris Ambassadors and Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris. With an assembly line down Walt Disney Studios Park.
“It was such a beautiful and magical day! So intense in emotions!” shared Yodin Luboya, campus personnel.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement, smiles, and cheers. From both cast and guests alike as everyone filled in to see the new Campus. To commemorate the event, special buttons were distributed. Along with an exclusive Mission Files document for the Campus’ first recruits.
“It was great to join all of my colleagues to live this moment together and welcome our first recruits!” expressed Carlos Alarcón Álvarez, campus personnel.
More surprises awaited in backstage areas for Disneyland Paris cast members. Decorations were set up in cast buildings and a special dessert was offered to all cast. While enjoying these delicious desserts, they snapped selfies in a brand-new cast selfie spot. Wherein they could help fight the Spider-Bots escaping from the SPIDER-MAN W.E.B. ADVENTURE attraction!
As the day continued, everyone was invited to join in on the action.
— Teaming up with the Avengers and their allies throughout the land; slinging webs like Spider-Man on SPIDER-MAN W.E.B. ADVENTURE; flying into space with Iron Man and Captain Marvel on AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: FLIGHT FORCE; and suiting up and refueling in true Super Hero fashion.
Recruits encountered Spider-Man, Iron Man, or Captain Marvel in a new dedicated building. Specially designed for Avengers Campus in Disneyland Paris, the Hero Training Center. For the first time in a Disney Park, a dynamic “freeze frame” video sequence, created by Disney PhotoPass with 27 cameras all around the action, captured these meetings. With Captain Marvel or Iron Man and turned them into unforgettable moments. These special encounters are available for booking through the Disneyland Paris mobile app.
New recruits of all ages also had the chance to train with Black Panther’s loyal protectors, the Dora Milaje, and learn from the warriors of Wakanda what it’s like to be a member of this elite royal guard. From there, they went onto saving the world. In a fun fashion, showing off their best dance moves during an interactive dance-off with Star-Lord and Gamora. From the Guardians of the Galaxy and capturing moments with more heroes at The Gateway Portal.
