Get Into the Giving Spirit This Weekend at Downtown Disney District

The gift-giving spirit is making the jump to lightspeed this weekend at the Downtown Disney District as we celebrate the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive!

Be sure to stop by this weekend for some extra holiday magic!

As part of the festivities, fans and guests will be able to snap a photo with a real-life sandcrawler-inspired vehicle from the Star Wars galaxy, which has been loaded up with Star Wars toys that will be donated to Toys for Tots!

The sandcrawler can be found near Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney District from Dec. 10-12 and is part of the Bring Home the Bounty campaign, a weekly program to reveal new Star Wars products every Tuesday through the rest of the year—perfect for holiday wish lists, shopping and donating to children who may need a little extra holiday magic!

This weekend, guests can drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the World of Disney store, Star Wars Trading Post, one of the Disneyland Resort Hotel shops or at the Downtown Disney Live! stage. U.S. Marines will also be on site over the weekend to help collect toys for the drive.

If you stop by on Saturday morning, you’ll enjoy extra fun with live music, and you may even get the chance to see 2022-2023 Disney Ambassadors Mark and Nataly as they help collect toys and support Toys for Tots beginning at 11 a.m.

December 14 is the last day to drop off new, unwrapped toys for the Marine Toys for Tots program in person. If you can’t make it to Downtown Disney District to donate, you can donate online now through December 24 by visiting shopDisney.com.

Last month, Disney kicked off the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive with a $500,000 donation to Toys for Tots to provide toys to children in need and inspire hope where it’s needed most this holiday season. Disneyland Resort has supported Toys for Tots since Disneyland first opened its gates in 1955. Support runs all the way back to 1947, when Walt Disney and his team of animators designed the familiar red Toys for Tots train logo… and it’s still in use today!
