Originally published at Disney Parks News

There are so many ways to get around the nearly 47 square miles of Walt Disney World Resort. Including complimentary options for Disney Resort hotel guests – by land, sea, or in the sky! The planDisney panelists are here to offer tips for making travel throughout the resort a breeze! But first, we’ve got the inside scoop on some exciting news about a returning guest favorite you’ll soon spot during your next visit.

Disney Minnie Van Service-Connected by Lyft – Returning June 29!

Let’s start with one of the cutest Disney transportation options, Minnie Vans. This private car service will roll back in on June 29, 2022. Guests can enjoy being driven around the property by expert, specially trained cast members. Panelist Diana V. reminds us, “One of my favorite things about visiting Walt Disney World is that I don’t have to worry about driving during my vacation!”

Minnie Van Service is one of the most convenient and personalized transportation options to choose from. With quick, point-to-point drop-offs and pick-ups around Walt Disney World, at prices that vary by route. It’s easy; Book by just opening your Lyft App and selecting a Minnie Van vehicle to pick you up! Guests can also use the app to request an Accessible Minnie Van. As needed. And each Minnie Van comes equipped with two complimentary car seats for your littlest travelers.

Walt Disney World Bus Service

It’s hard to miss those magical buses carrying guests around Walt Disney World. Especially the ones wrapped with your favorite Disney characters.

planDisney panelists recommend making a game out of finding your favorites as you travel to your next destination. Letting the winner pick the next attraction or snack.

Bus service is complimentary for guests staying at any Disney Resort Collection hotel and provides transportation from your resort to theme parks, water parks (with transfer at Disney Springs), and even Disney Springs. Bus service information can be found on the My Disney Experience app. Making it easy to know when the next pickup will be.

Walt Disney World Monorail

From buses on the highway to the highway in the sky, the Walt Disney World Monorail, one of our most famous transportation options, offers guests three lines of service with varying stops at each, including:

The Resort Monorail Line:

  • Transportation and Ticket Center (Magic Kingdom Parking)
  • Magic Kingdom Park
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort

The Express Line:

  • Transportation and Ticket Center (Magic Kingdom Parking)
  • Magic Kingdom Park

EPCOT Line:

  • Transportation and Ticket Center
  • EPCOT
The time the monorail begins to run each day can vary depending upon the time of the year and park operating hours on that particular day.
Disney Skyliner

Disney Skyliner is one of our most popular transportation options (fans especially love the Disney-themed cabins!). These aerial gondolas take you to and from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT between four resorts; Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. According to Tammy M., Disney Skyliner is one of the best perks for staying at these resorts, especially Caribbean Beach. Tammy recommends, “Requesting a location near the Skyliner station is a great way to get a few extra minutes of rest before heading to the park or save a few steps after a late night of fireworks and fun. While all requests are not guaranteed, and all buildings are only a short stroll away, the Jamaica section is my top recommendation.”

Water Transportation

Water transportation is a great way to slow down and enjoy the scenery. Whether you are taking a ferry from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom Park or even just enjoying a cruise aboard the Friendship Boats in the World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT! “The Friendship Boats are operational at all four landings, offering two routes: between Canada and Morocco Pavilions and between Mexico and Germany Pavilions.” shares planDisney Panelist Jacqueline P.

For your convenience, if needed, Friendship Boats are stroller and wheelchair accessible.

Guests at select Disney Resort Collection hotels can enjoy water taxi options for transportation to theme parks and even Disney Springs. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa all offer boat service to Magic Kingdom Park. Guests at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Disney’s Beach Club Resort can enjoy water taxi service aboard Friendship Boats to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Walking Paths

If you enjoy a leisurely stroll, you can also walk to some theme parks from select resorts. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Disney’s Beach Club Resort are just a short stroll to EPCOT and a relaxing walk to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you can enjoy a peaceful walk to Magic Kingdom Park.

Walt Disney World Resort is The Magical Place on Earth, and thanks to its many transportation offerings brought to life by Disney cast members, traveling throughout the parks is pretty magical too!
