planDisney: A Guide to Selecting your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel with Little Ones
Originally published at Disney Parks News
Next up in our little one series, it is time to check out the wonderful Disney Resorts Collection. No matter the size of your group or the ages of your kiddos, especially little ones, there is a Disney Resort hotel to meet everyone’s needs. To guide you in the search for the best resort hotel for you, planDisney panelists, Leslie and LeAndra, are back and they are here to share some of their favorite tips when selecting your Disney vacation home away from home!
Leslie said it best, staying at a Disney Resort hotel truly allows your family to stay in the magic for your entire vacation, and as you heard, there are so many choices!
No doubt Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a popular choice for those with little ones. The larger-than-life Disney and Pixar characters are a treat for kiddos and adults alike, and parents will appreciate the extra room that can be found when booking a family suite. But perhaps the most difficult decision guests will have when choosing this resort is which area to stay? Will it be the “Cars”-themed section? Or maybe the “Lion King”-themed area! No matter what section you select, your little ones will be enthralled by all they can find at this resort.
Another great perk of Disney’s Art of Animation, and all Disney Resort hotels, is resort transportation. Did you know that when you stay at a Disney Resort hotel, complimentary transportation is provided to all of the theme parks, water parks, and even Disney Springs? It is true and your little ones will enjoy traveling via Disney Skyliner, the monorail, as well as water and bus transportation! Practically attractions within themselves!
If you are traveling with little ones, you know the importance of being close to your hotel for some much-needed downtime. And this is why LeAndra always recommends staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Depending upon your resort, getting back to your room for naptime can be as smooth and easy as a quick ride on Disney Skyliner!
While back in the room for a mid-day break, or even when enjoying a day at your resort, your little one will no doubt enjoy a splash in the pool. Not only do all Disney Resort hotels have incredible pools, but many also have spray grounds specially designed for little ones as well as entertaining splash pads.
And as LeAndra and Leslie remind us, the fun does not stop at the pools. There are numerous activities at each resort, including Movies Under the Stars, nightly campfires, and other fun events. Be sure to check your resort’s schedule when you arrive.
All this fun will no doubt have you looking for meal options and the Disney Resort hotels can satisfy that hunger need too! There are so many options to choose from that even your pickiest eater will be able to find a delectable meal at your resort. Where else can you watch animals eat their dinner while you too enjoy a tasty meal other than Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas? But wait, let’s hold on the dining topic for one of our upcoming videos in our little ones series!
So, there you have it! There really are so many reasons to stay in the magic with your little one on your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
