World Princess Week Celebrates Tiana

We’re kicking off World Princess Week, where we will be highlighting a different Disney Princess each day. Today, we are honoring Princess Tiana from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Princess and the Frog.” Tiana is a visionary who learned the joy of sharing good food with others from her father. I’ve rounded up some ways that you can celebrate this brave, ambitious princess who knew that a dream is a little bit of magic and a lot of hard work.
Disney Cruise Line:
The Disney Wonder will return to Tiana’s hometown of New Orleans in February 2022 for four- and six-night Western Caribbean getaways. On board this gorgeous ship, Disney Cruise Line is really “gonna take you there!” at two unique venues inspired by Tiana’s story:
Fans of the film will not want to miss Tiana’s Place restaurant, the first immersive manifestation of Tiana’s dream come true. You’ll be treated to a celebration of New Orleans-inspired dining and entertainment with a menu that draws inspiration from the flavors and ingredients of the Louisiana bayou. Tap your toes to the beat of live jazz, swing and blues, setting the tone for the French Quarter supper club atmosphere. After dinner, head over to French Quarter Lounge, where you can sip a New Orleans-themed specialty drink and dance the night away! It also offers family activities, trivia, workshops, crafts and music that bring the bayou spirit of family and fun to life.
The newest member of Disney’s fleet, the Disney Wish, sets sail in summer of 2022. Guests on board who are looking for a New Orleans-inspired good time can go down to The Bayou, an informal lounge themed to “The Princess and the Frog.” This centrally located venue will offer creative cocktails, specialty coffees and signature beignets in a lively, social atmosphere complete with live entertainment and musical performances.
Walt Disney World Resort:
Starting today, there will be a new Tiana-themed playground available during the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. It’s an awesome offering guests can enjoy during the kick-off of Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary celebration, “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” which begins Oct. 1. Those of you with a sweet tooth will want to get your hands on a Tiana Petit Cake from Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs: dark chocolate chiffon cake, raspberry mousse, raspberry pâte fruit, and chocolate crisp pearls. Yum! Then, you can wave hello to Tiana in the cavalcades at Walt Disney World Resort. You’ll also want to catch a nighttime viewing of “The Princess and the Frog” at Walt Disney World Resort Movies Under the Stars. Talk about a perfect evening!
Disneyland Resort:
At Disneyland Resort, be ready for a Princess Tiana sighting in New Orleans Square! Or, you might see her at Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, which will return to Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Aug. 26. Make a reservation today! We’ve also made some very exciting announcements about an all-new attraction featuring Princess Tiana coming to both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. You can read more about them here!
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort:
The Castle of Magical Dreams was recently unveiled as part of Hong Kong Disneyland’s 15th Anniversary celebration. The first of its kind, the castle is inspired by the 13 courageous stories of our much-loved Disney princesses and “Frozen” queens; among them, Princess Tiana. If you look closely at the lofty towers, you might spot nods to Tiana’s story. The castle stands proudly as the centerpiece of Hong Kong Disneyland and as a symbol of courage, hope, and possibility.
Shanghai Disney Resort:
At Shanghai Disney Resort, Mickey’s Storybook Adventure is a brand-new live theater performance now showing at Shanghai Disneyland. This extravaganza features classic Disney songs and includes appearances by 23 beloved Disney Characters, including Tiana!
Tiana’s dad always told her that good food has a way of bringing people together. Well, at Shanghai Disney Resort, make plans to eat some really good food at Royal Banquet Hall, a premier dining experience with an all-new Chinese menu that incorporates Western favorites. There is even a Tiana-themed room where you can savor all the signature flavors!
At Shanghai Disneyland, Enchanted Storybook Castle stands as a crown jewel of the park, celebrating all Disney Princesses. Its golden spires glitter during the day and shine at night. It also features a mosaic that depicts the tale of Tiana.
