Resorts World Confirms Michael Buble Residency

It’s always so ackward to report news you already heard awhile back because you read our blog, but here we are.
Resorts World has confirmed our scoop from Oct. 2021, singer (sorry, “international superstar”) Michael Buble will do a residency (sorry, “limited engagement”) at the new Strip resort.
Are you not entertained? (Note: If not, keep it to yourself.)
Buble’s residency will be six shows, from April 27 to May 7, 2022.
The show dates are as follows: April 27, 29, 30 and May 4, 6, 7, 2022.
These deals always include the option for an extension, depending upon how ticket sales go.
While a relatively short run, Michael Buble is a big “get” for Resorts World, the result of a scramble for another headliner following the postponement of Celine Dion’s residency, presumably due to medical reasons. (She only cancelled her Resorts World shows, not her world tour.)
The struggling Resorts World pinned a lot of hopes on Celine Dion given her proven drawing power, and not just in ticket sales. Dion appeals to the perfect casino resort customer, with lots of disposable income to spend on rooms, restaurants and gambling.
Ditto, Michael Buble, in theory.
We love us some Michael Buble, mostly because of that song, “Everything.”
From the news release: “Exclusively programmed and operated by Concerts West/AEG Presents, the brand-new Resorts World Theatre, which officially opened
its doors on Dec. 1, 2021, is a multi-level concert and entertainment venue designed by the award-winning international design firm, Sceno Plus. The intimate venue, with the furthest (sic) seat only 150 feet from the stage, features unparalleled comfort, unobstructed sightlines and an unmatched immersive audio experience through more than 200 L-Acoustics speakers powered by L-ISA hyperreal technology.”
Seriously, if a theater doesn’t have more than 200 L-Acoustics speakers powered by L-ISA hyperreal technology, why even bother?
Michael Buble’s vibe seems a good fit for the folks who pine for the Rat Pack era when crooners ruled the Las Vegas Strip.
Sorry we ruined the surprise, but that’s sort of our thing.
